Last August 12, 2022, eight staff members of the Office of the City Veterinarian in Pasay City undertook a training on seafood safety from the DA-BFAR through its Fisheries Post-Harvest Technology Division. The training tackled regulations, food safety and good handling practices for fish and fishery products for food safety officers and health officers. Trainings like these are critical for mitigating food safety issues in local wet markets, as well as strengthening partnerships and collaborative activities with the local government units in regards to ensuring food safety.
