PFO-Davao De Oro (DDO) conducted Hands -on Training on Grow-out Culture and Management of Tilapia in Freshwater Fishpond to 40 IP members of Sitio Lanipga Bahi Farmers Association (SLABaFA) last July 20-21,2022 at Sitio Lanipga, Bahi, Maragusan, Davao de Oro.
The training was a collaborative effort among DSWD, Davao de Oro, PLGU-PAGRO, Davao de Oro, 66th IB Philippine Army, MLGU-MAGSO, and BLGU Bahi, Maragusan, Davao de Oro.
The Sitio Lanipga Bahi Farmers Association (SLABaFA) is a recipient of the Cash for Work program- from the DSWD who funded the excavation of 1,000sq.m. fishpond that PAGRO-DDO proposed. The association will receive a package of production inputs (tilapia post-fingerling, agricultural and feeds supply for one cropping) from BFAR thru PFO, Davao de Oro. While the 66th IB PA and MAGRO, Maragusan will closely monitor during fishpond excavation.
