As part of the 59th Fish Conservation Week, the Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture Division, represented by Ms. Imelda R. Calixto, lectured about urban aquaculture while Ms. Haide T. Rojas of the Fisheries Post-Harvest Technology Division (FPHTD) talked about food safety awareness. The technical symposium ended with a briefer on the current trends and opportunities in Post-Harvest by Ms. Cherry E. Romero of the FPHTD.
The week-long activities of the 59th Fish Conservation Week, anchored on the theme “Pagkain ng Bansa Siguruhin, Likas-Kayang Produksyon ng Isda Isulong Natin,” continues tomorrow with a market orientation at the Commonwealth Market and a media tour at the National Inland Fisheries Technology Center in Tanay, Rizal.
