DA-BFAR National Director Commodore Eduardo Gongona personally led early today a market inspection of primary fish commodities in three markets in Quezon City — Commonwealth Market, Nepa Q Mart, and Muñoz Market.

With him are fisheries inspectors from the Fisheries Resource Protection Group and Fisheries Inspection and Quarantine Division of the DA-BFAR Central Office who are tasked to conduct regular market inspection in the major markets of Metro Manila to ensure that fish are sold at the suggested retail prices.

Some primary commodities available today are fresh galunggong, tilapia, and bangus, among others.
