BFAR 7’S CENTRAL BANGUS HATCHERY IN CALAPE, BOHOL LEADS REGIONAL FISHERIES GROWTH

The Central Bangus Hatchery in Panganan, Calape, Bohol is currently in full operation, with a stockpile of 1.7 million eggs collected from its floating fish cages. The hatchery houses 10 floating fish cages, each nurturing 100 bangus broodstock.

Compared to last year in which the spawning began in late March, the beginning of this year’s spawning is notably earlier.
