As part of the Farmers and Fisherfolk’s Month 2022 Closing Program, fisherfolk representing their provinces showcased their value-addition abilities in a Cooking Contest earlier today, May 31, 2022 at BFAR 10 Compound, Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro City.

The following are some of the most exquisite value-added products developed by fisherfolk from five (5) provinces. Despite the closeness of the scores, three provinces were declared winners, and all contestants received a Certificate of Appreciation:

Lanao del Norte – “Pizcharru” (CHAMPION, P5,000.00)

Bukidnon – “Tilwraps” (1ST RUNNER UP, P3,000.00)

Misamis Occidental – “Musstty Burger and Sandwiches” (2ND RUNNER UP, P2,000.00)

Camiguin – “Green Mussel Sisig” (CONSOLATION PRIZE)

Misamis Oriental – “Sardine Tausi” (CONSOLATION PRIZE)
