The Fisheries Protection and Law Enforcement Group (FPLEG) TEAM 4 recently conducted the Landing and Market Denial Operation at Naga Fishport and Kabasalan Public Market in Zamboanga Sibugay. The team checked and inspected 35 boxes of fish and 20 fish stalls and conducted an on-the-spot orientation to the fish shippers/owners regarding how to identify positively caught fish species through the use of an explosive device. Moreover, the team also distributed 50 pieces of IEC materials during the operation and reported that there were no fish samples taken found/caught through the use of explosives.
