BFAR 11 Bulletin for May 13, 2020
Update: As of 10 am today, BFAR 11 has issued a total of 1,110 food passes and 2, 648 local transport permits (LTPs) for essential goods in the Regional Office, Davao City airport and City/Provincial Fishery Offices (C/PFOs).
BFAR 11 responded to its commitment to the directives of the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and the National Government through the continuous provision of varying interventions across Davao region.
Through an inclusive approach, the BFAR 11 Fisheries Resource Protection Group (FRPG) was invited by PNP Maritime Group 11 for a dialogue in their office at Toril, Davao City to discuss on the guidelines regarding fishing activities and other important matters during this pandemic crisis with the municipal fisherfolk of Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.
On the other hand, BFAR 11 PFO Davao de Oro was on field today as they facilitated the stocking and distribution of Kitang fingerlings to the beneficiaries of the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) program. Similarly, 20,000 pcs. of tilapia fingerlings were dispersed to the selected provinces of Davao de Oro.
Aside from the aid given, the BFAR 11 PFO Davao del Norte, together with the barangay officials and bantay-dagat members, conducted a geotagging activity at a fish sanctuary located in Brgy. Kanaan, Island Garden City of Samal.
