BFAR 12- KMSH Provides Tilapia Fingerlings in Sarangani Province

BFAR 12 Koronadal- Multi-Species Hatchery (KMSH) released 55,000 pieces Tilapia Fingerlings for grow-out culture. These were distributed in Sarangani Province through the Provincial Fisheries Office-Sarangani in April 2020.

PFO Sarangani, headed by Gemma Cheryl G. Moreno, in coordination with LGU- Malungon, successfully distributed the 30,000 pieces tilapia fingerlings to the Fish Farmers of Malungon on April 22, 2020. The Sarangani PFO also distributed 25,000 pieces tilapia fingerlings to the beneficiaries of the Department of Agriculture - Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) in Maasim, Kiamba and Maitum, Sarangani Province on April 29, 2020.

Despite this pandemic crisis, DA-BFAR 12 carries through its commitment in extending support and assistance to our most affected marginalized fish farmers.
