Being one with the Bureau on providing Fish for Every Juan in the midst of the pandemic threat, the Competent Agri-Marine Beneficiary Adopt Technology of New Generation (CAMBATONG) Association in San Julian, Eastern Samar harvested 800 kilos of milkfish yesterday.
As a neophyte in fish cage farming, the association earnestly put into practice the pieces of technical advice given by the Bureau and embodied the promise of effective livelihood intervention of the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) in the region.
The association was given with fish cage materials, Aqua feeds and 5,000 bangus fingerlings worth Php 202,993.60 on the month of November in 2019. This is to help them establish a sustainable source of livelihood which at the same time contributes less pressure in capture fisheries.
Further, the association will be using their initial profit for their next stocking on June 2020.
