Partner agencies, LGU Sumilao, and City Jail provided with fish products
About 600 kgs of fish products were provided to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, City Social Welfare and Development, Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail and Rehabilitation Center and the Local Government Unit of Sumilao on April 29, 2020.
Teodoro A. Bacolod Jr., BFAR-10 Regional Director, personally turned over 200kgs to BJMP, 120kgs to Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail and Rehabilitation Center, 80 kgs to City Social Welfare and Development and 200kgs to LGU Sumilao as part of the agency’s efforts to provide assistance to cope with the COVID-19 crisis.
Director Bacolod said that aside from our stakeholders and regular clients, the Bureau should also extend its assistance to partner agencies and other offices as this is what the situation requires to each and every one of us, to be one and united in battling out the pandemic.
“We are so thankful to BFAR-10 for choosing us to be one of the recipients to receive the fish products. Indeed, it is a big help to us especially to our inmates said SJ2 Aldous S. Ybañez, Unit Welfare Development Chief.
The initiative would also help in assisting our fisherfolk in marketing their products, as well as allowing unhampered delivery of food products, a top priority for the Department of Agriculture, which the BFAR is part of.
We would like to thank all our fishery stakeholders particularly to Bagnet Fishing Association of Jasaan Misamis Oriental for their commitment and prompt response to the initiatives of BFAR-10, and for our future partnerships as well. We salute you!
