ANOTHER DOLPHIN STRANDS AND SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES
BAGAC, Bataan - An injured dolphin stranded yesterday, April 29, but eventually died while the medical response team was on its way. Identified as a juvenile Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin, the animal was found in Barangay Banawang with injuries possibly caused by a fishing line or net.
The number of people who worked together in an effort to save the dolphin despite the ECQ restrictions was overwhelming; the Philippine Coast Guards, the LGU of Bagac headed by Municipal Agriculturist Nona Manalastas and Engr Dennis Tutol, Doc Leo and his team from Ocean Adventure, the Eco Warriors of Bagac, the La Jolla Resort security guards and the fishermen in the area who were the first to alert responders.
