The Fisheries Resource Protection Group (FPRG) and Fisheries Inspection Unit Officers continue to render services for the fishing industry at the PFDA Complex, Tambler, General Santos City.
Catch validation, vessel and fish car inspection still a priority despite the health crisis and this is to assure that the unloading and loading of fisheries products are not disrupted.
The Fisheries Resource Protection Group (FPRG) inspected two (2) departing fishing vessels which they found to be compliant and inspected a total of twenty-four (24) fish cars at the exit point of PFDA complex. Transporters found without Local Transport Permit (LTP) and Food Pass were directed to the quarantine office adjacent of the exit point of the port. On the other hand, the catch validator team of the Regional Fisheries Inspection Unit, verified and validated six (6) unloading fishing vessels that supply fish for EU establishments and local buyers.
