TURNOVER AND MOA SIGNING OF 62-FOOTER FIBER GLASS TUNA FISH CARRIER
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Turnover of 1 Unit 62-Footer Fiber Glass Tuna Fish Carrier took place this morning, January 8, 2021 at the Conference Room of the BFAR Regional Office XI. The event was attended by BFAR National Director Eduardo B. Gongona, PCG, BFAR XI Regional Director Raul C. Millana, MFT and Mr. Domingo O. Ang, Chairman of the Davao Gulf Fisherman Cooperative.
Director Millana introduced Director Gongona giving credit to the latter for the event to come to fruition. Director Gongona, on his part, acknowledged the partnership with the private sector and promised to work harder to fill up the void for the fish production.
After the MOA signing, Mr. Domingo Ang delivered the message of acceptance mentioning that the project will pave way for the mobilization of the fisherfolk cooperative. Through this and marketing arm, the fish production will be sustainable.
