𝗗𝗔 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀
Sto.Tomas, BAGUIO CITY. Department of Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar led the distribution of the Cash and Food Subsidy Program (CFSMFF) to farmers and fisherfolk of Tublay, Benguet.
In his keynote speech, Secretary Dar said that the program aims to increase food sufficiency level and generate income opportunities as part of the social protection and amelioration program for farmers and fishers in the country under the Stimulus Package for Agriculture.
"The economy must be sustained", said Secretary Dar. The CFSMFF program is part of the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act (Bayanihan 2) which is geared toward revitalizing the country’s economy amidst the pandemic. Thus, 4.5 Billion is allocated for the implementation of the said program.
Of the 412 targeted fisherfolk beneficiaries in Benguet province, ten fisherfolk in Tublay had already received the PhP 5,000 worth of cash and food assistance today, December 23, 2020.
Aside from this, tree planting, Dairy Farm visit and blessing of the EnKADIWA truck were undertaken during the visit of Secretary Dar.
