DISPERSAL ACTIVITIES CONTINUE DESPITE COVID THREAT
BFAR Central Luzon has continued with its production operations despite the COVID threat and has dispersed a total of 820,000 tilapia fingerlings since the ECQ was implemented.
Although food supply is stable, consequences may be devastating without a back-up plan. As a coping strategy, BFAR Central Luzon carries on with activities such as these to ensure that there is a steady fish supply for the region. Marketing assistance and logistical support are also provided to make sure that food supply reaches the consumers without delay. According to Regional Director, Wilfredo Cruz, “Our commitment is to give the people unhampered access to the food they need and in the absence of traders, we must take the lead.” (RCC/Photos: Bfar Pfo Bulacan)
