BFAR3 LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATES AMID PANDEMIC
As the COVID-19 pandemic rapidly unfolds, the Fisheries Resource Protection Group (formerly FLEG) proceeded to respond to the current challenges. All MCS stations are in operation with officers on duty while seaborne patrol operations continue within the vicinity of the provinces. Duty officers have also extended assistance to the PFOs, issuing food lane passes and LTPs.
These officers continue to enforce fisheries laws amid the crisis. Through the support of Regional Director Wilfredo Cruz and supervision of FMRED Chief Neil Kenneth Catibog, BFAR3 fishery enforcers remain alert as they watch over Central Luzon waters, a major source of food for the people especially the marginalized sector.
