BFAR provides chest freezers to Lugait CFLC
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources 10 turns over two chest freezers to the LGU Lugait, on June 29, 2020, at Brgy. Poblacion, Lugait, Misamis Oriental.
With a holding capacity of 384 liters/24 kg, the chest freezers, worth P56,930.00, shall be used as ice storage for the Lugait Community Fish Landing Center Operations.
Mayor Zosimo A. Perez Jr. personally received the certificate of turn-over from BFAR-10 Regional Director Teodoro A. Bacolod, Jr. Witnessing the turn-over were Municipal Agriculturist Rosabella J.Ugmad, Municipal ABC President Desiderio P. Gabe, Chairman for Fisheries Councilor Adelfo M. Saura, Sr., and Poblacion Fisherfolk Association President Jose Bogsangit Omoc-oc.
The CFLC project of BFAR is under the TARGET Progam of the Department of Agriculture, seeking to reduce poverty in the fishery sector. Aiming to promote inclusive growth for marginalized fishing communities, the program provides viable and sustainable interventions for the improvement of their livelihood and develop an ecologically conscious community.
