BFAR 11 Welcomes New Provincial Fishery Officers in Various Provinces
BFAR 11 OIC-RD Alfeo G. Piloton administered the turnover ceremonies of the newly installed Provincial Fishery Officers for Davao Occidental and Davao de Oro dated June 16 and 18, 2020 at BFAR 11 Regional and PFO Davao de Oro Office, respectively.
The ceremony formally marked the term of Ms. Eleonor Q. Sandoval, Senior Aquaculturist as OIC, Provincial Fishery Officer (PFO) for Davao Occidental. She replaced Mr. Jose A. Villanueva, who previously held two Provincial Fisheries Office, Davao Occidental and Davao del Sur, in addition to his assignment as (Ad Hoc) Chief to the Research and Development Coordination Division.|
Mr. Jefferson L. Montera, Senior Aquaculturist took over the reins of PFO Davao de Oro previously headed by Ms. Ma. Loida Avorque. Miss Avorque in turn assumed office as PFO for Davao del Norte. Its former officer, Mr. Raul C. Millana was tasked to focus and spearhead various projects as Chief of the Fisheries Production and Support Services Division. Atty. Rachel Mernil O. Maratas-Bacera who previously served as his alternate officer, was assigned to Administrative and Finance Division (Ad Hoc) at the BFAR Regional Office in Davao City. The aforementioned designations took effect last June 8, and 17, 2020 for Davao de Oro, respectively.
Provincial Fishery Officers will supervise the fishery project implementations and activities of the bureau in their respective provinces. BFAR 11 OIC-RD Alfeo G. Piloton gave the reassurance of a smooth transition of responsibilities following the marching orders of Secretary William D. Dar and USEC. Eduardo B. Gongona towards a food-secured Philippines.
