June 15, 2020- The Fisheries Production and Support Services Division (FPSSD) head Abdelnaser Tarabasa led in the collaborative meeting of the FPSSD, Provincial Fishery Offices (PFOs), Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Section (PMES), and the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Team of the Regional  Fisheries Information Management Center (RFIMC) at the BFAR 12 Conference Room, Regional Prime Center, Koronadal City to brainstorm on updating data on the regional fisheries production. BFAR 12 is currently pursuing to improve and update its fishery production database in order to enable BFAR 12 to make more effective plans, project implementation, and also to improve data access by the public. Moreover, in time of calamities where accurate information is needed, readily accessible data is important in the formulation of disaster response initiatives for the Fisheries Sector.
