PFO South Cotabato Conducts Site Validation for Tilapia Fingerlings Dispersal and Distribution
BFAR 12- PFO South Cotabato headed by Butch Jamiro together with his technical staff conduct site validation on two sites in Tantangan, the Bukay Pait Small Water Impoundment and on Binas Farm as proposed areas for fingerlings dispersal and distribution.
The Bukay Pait Small Water Impoundment is a proposed site for Balik Sigla sa Ilog at Lawa (BASIL) Project. This project is a development of the National Inland Fisheries Enhancement Program (NIFEP), a national program that uses a scientific approach on the fisheries enhancement of inland water resources. The area is an output of the Bukay Pait Small Water Impounding Project of the DA-12 Regular Rice Program and it is located at Brgy. Bukay Pait Tantangan South Cotabato. The Bukay Pait Small Water Irrigation Association Incorporated, the proponent of the project, is being evaluated as a possible BASIL project recipient.
