The DA-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) secured second place in Cluster 2, Sub-Cluster 2.2 of the Department of Agriculture Performance Appreciation System (PAS) in recognition of its outstanding organizational performance under Department of Agriculture Administrative Order No. 11, Series of 2025.

The award was received by BFAR National Director Elizer Salilig during the meeting of the Department of Agriculture Management Committee held on June 24 at the BSWM Convention Hall, Quezon City.

Based on the evaluation, DA-BFAR recorded scores of 67.62% in physical performance, 82.92% in financial performance, 70% in good governance, and 99.77% in citizen/client satisfaction.

Meanwhile, the Performance Appreciation System (PAS) recognizes operating units that demonstrate excellence in implementing programs, activities, and projects while fostering a results-oriented work environment through regular performance evaluation. It also serves as a platform to acknowledge and reward offices that consistently exceed expectations and make significant contributions to the Department of Agriculture’s strategic goals.

This recognition highlights DA-BFAR’s commitment to delivering quality public service and continuously improving its organizational performance in support of the country’s fisheries and aquatic resources sector.
