Several reports have been received by this office that some persons are impersonating the Secretary on various social media and messaging apps and soliciting financial assistance and for other nefarious purposes. These persons are using the Secretary’ s contact number and image in the messaging apps to make it appear that it is the Secretary giving the instruction.

If you have received or should you receive any such request, you are hereby directed to ( 1) ignore the request and ( 2) call the Office of the Secretary through the undersigned at telephone no. ( 02) 8273- 2474 local 2282 to confirm any supposed instruction.

All instructions from the Secretary shall be through written communication with his signature and sent through the official email account of the Office of the Secretary.

Further, you are directed to post in your respective official websites this memorandum to inform the public that the Secretary of Agriculture does not engage in soliciting financial help nor has authorized anyone to do so on his behalf.
