SUBJECT: Reconstitution of the BFAR GAD Focal Point System

In the exigency of the service, the BFAR GAD Focal Point System is hereby reconstituted as follows:

Functions and Responsibilities:

Provide directions in the GAD mainstreaming initiatives of the Bureau;

Conceptualize and implement specific programs and projects pursuant to GAD;

Formulate the GAD Strategic Plan of the Bureau;

Review the Bureau’s annual GAD Plan and Budget including its Regional Offices, National Centers and National Training Centers;

Conduct periodic monitoring/assessment of GAD activities and accomplishments;

Monitor and control GAD budget utilization;

Prepare/submit reports to the DA-GAD Focal System;

Formulate and implement PPAs in the areas of:

sexual harassment, violence against women and discrimination in the work place

training/seminars

human resource procedures, policies, systems, and programs

health and wellness

environmental protection/sustainability

GAD budget

Coordinate the participation of the Bureau in GAD-related activities; and

Represent the Bureau in GAD-related activities/fora/meetings;

Secretariat:

Assists the Chair in the conduct of GAD meetings;

Prepares the consolidated GAD Plan and Budget and Accomplishment Report;

Coordinates with the different offices/entities/agencies regarding gender programs, trainings and other similar activities.

This Order shall takes effect immediately and shall remain in force until revoked in writing.

All orders and/or memoranda inconsistent herewith are hereby deemed revoked.
