BFAR Website and Content Management System Training/Workshop
Tagbilaran City, Bohol

From July 10 to 16 2016, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), particularly personnel from the Fisheries Information Management Center (FIMC), led a regional training on Content Management System (CMS) of the BFAR website in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

BFAR 7 Assistant Regional Director Allan Poquita welcomed the participants who are FIMC personnel from the bureau's regional offices. Mr. Zaldy P. Perez, officer in charge of FIMC, was also there to facilitate the open forum.

Throughout the six-day event, participants and facilitators were able to create an open environment conducive for discussions. As part of the training evaluation, participants presented the regional website as an output on the last day. Incorporated in their presentations were alterations and changes they made on their regional website. This activity turned out successful as the programmers were able to creatively establish each region’s identity as well as showcase the uniqueness that sets them apart from others.

The training came to a close on the fifth day with Regional Director Andres Bojos delivering a short message before the facilitators and participants. Overall, the training was fruitful. Participants have gained skills and knowledge which can effectively result in a more improved content management of the official regional websites.
